The habitat of many artists, antique vendors and the home of art galleries, this area has narrow cobblestone streets lined with many trees and colonial buildings ( adorned with iron bars )
If you visit Coronel Manuel DorregoPark on the weekends, you'll find the antique fair there (Sundays from 10am till 7 pm).
Also, you can find there different style buildings such as: French, inglish and art nouveau. Which have artists (atelier). It was inhabited for the wealthy families up to 1971 when they had to move to the north of the city when the yellow fever epidemic came. It had changed when time passed by until it became in an obliged tour where you can see valuable architectonic works from the past. Among the interesting places the Russian Orthodox church (1904), La Defensa passage (typical big house from the past century which simulates a colonial Buenos Aires) outstand.
