Plaza San Martín
One of its main streets is Florida (about a mile long), where you'll find a great variety of shops and beautiful cafes. There are tango dancers on almost every corner. San Martin Park is located just in front of the Kavannagh Building ( 180 meters high ). Upon its inauguration in 1936, this 30 story concrete building was the tallest of its kind in all of South America. Nearby is the Foreign Ministry Building.

Plaza San Martin has a wide variety of trees, and a monument dedicated to General San Martin, and another to the fallen soldiers from the Falklands War in 1982.

Retiro
The train Station was built by the British architects Eustace L. Condor and Sydney G. Follet, and by the Engineer Reginald Reynolds. For many years it was refereed as one of the great engineering feats of a generation in South America. .

The English Tower was donated by the British community in 1910 to commemorate the 100 th anniversary of the May Revolution of 1810. This tower is situated in Plaza Fuerza Aerea ( Air Force Park ) just opposite to Retiro Station ).
